NOT JUST A RUN ! A GREAT DAY OF ACTIVITY ON THE OVAL
Even more fun - and a superb day out!SO WHATS NEW AND WHATS BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR?
The Fun Run has something for everyone!
THE RUNS If you are a regular runner the 10 km is for you. Test yourself against this challenging course. The 5 km suits both seasoned runners and the more ambitious members of families! And the 2 km is a great event for one and all including young children in a safe environment and those who want to run slowly, walk or push a pram - making it a total family event! Those with prams need to start at the back.
AWARDS Every runner gets a medal. There are awards for the best runner male and female in each distance for several age groups.
ENTERTAINMENT There are lots of activities on the Oval after your run. This includes several Food stalls and Face painting and a basketball competition for kids.
SCHOOLS CHALLENGE There are prizes for the school with the largest number of runners, and the school that raises the most funds.
FUNDRAISING Fundraising is an important part of the event. There are prizes for the best junior fundraiser (age17 and under) and top adult fundraiser (age18 up). There is also a prize for the most funds raised by a family.
KYDS' Schools Challenges
This year, there will be a new trophy category for schools - Community Participation Champions.
This trophy will go to the school with the highest number of runners registered as a percentage of total student enrolments in their school. This ensures that the smaller schools are also rewarded for their efforts to maximise registrations.
There will continue to be trophies for:
• Registration Champions - for the school with the highest number of runners registered
• Fundraising Champions - for the school that raised the most funds raised for our charity beneficiaries
Food and Coffee
We have some new food outlets this year!
In addition to a BBQ, coffee vans, donuts, we also have potato twist and acai vans.
